Managing Information
Relations
For a company like Merck, managing issues relating to pharmaceutical policy is an
essential undertaking, requiring a complex system to manage relationship, program,
research, and event information.
Designing a scalable system for the Program on Pharmaceutical Policy Issues (PPPI) that
accommodates all the technical requirements while providing a brilliant interface is where
MX9 excels.
Powered by an Oracle database with Java servlets and
JSP running the front end, the PPPI system was created to manage numerous link tables relating the
multitude of stored information. We at MX9 understand that storing information is easy; sorting
and making sense of it is the hard part.
In addition to our technical expertise, we have talented artists who strive to make every
application and website we build beautiful in its own right. Every button, title, and layout is
crafted to perfection. |

Besides storing and relating
information, the system tracks users as well. We programmed PPPI to track the users as
they log in, record subjects they're interested in, and post bulletins to the interested
parties. PPPI also supports document uploading and storage, which helps to facilitate
collaboration in every field. Metric systems are also being implemented to give an idea of
what users are most interested in and which options are popular.
Our work with PPPI comes right on the heels of a very successful web-based schedule
management project with Merck's collaborative tools division. Satisfied customers?
Absolutely. Let us know what we can do for you.
